Students will learn the essence of lacquer craftsmanship, from the basics to more advanced techniques, led by professional lacquer artists. The artists will demonstrate how to create a lacquer art piece, starting with design, followed by inlay, lacquering, and polishing.<\/p>\n\n    <p><strong>Content<\/strong><br>\n    This workshop focuses on creating designs and patterns. Participants are encouraged to prepare their sketches in advance. She moved to Beijing in 2020. In 2021, Li established a studio with her partner, Guo Zhangle, in Beijing to promote lacquer art that adds depth to daily life. The artists have been exhibiting in Hong Kong, London, Shanghai, and Beijing. In 2025, they conducted workshops at The Gallery by SOIL and the Chamber of Young Snow Art Exhibition Hall at Lingnan University.<\/p>\n\n    <p><strong>Notes<\/strong><br>\n      1. <strong>Allergy<\/strong>: Urushiol is the main component of the natural lacquer. During the process of using lacquer, some individuals may experience allergic reactions. Besides, small amount of camphor oil may be used in the workshop. Those with favism should assess their physical condition before registering for this workshop.\n    <\/p>\n    <p>\n      2. <strong>Typhoon and Rainstorm Signals<\/strong>: If Typhoon No. 8 Signal or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued at or after 11 am, the workshop will be cancelled and rescheduled. She skillfully transforms loose horsehair into intricate three\u2011dimensional forms, including vessels, sculptural objects, and relief wall pieces.<\/p>\n        <p>Jeong\u2019s talent has garnered significant global attention and recognition, including the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize in 2022. His practice centres on the development of innovative surface carving techniques, applied to sculptural furniture and artworks that reflect his distinct approach to form and texture.<\/p>\n        <p>His works have gained international recognition, including being shortlisted as a finalist for the LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize 2025.
